Planning your visit
Getting to Wakad
- Look for Prime City Center on Datta Mandir Road; the clinic is in units A-6 and B-3.
- From Thergaon, Kalewadi and Pimple Saudagar, Wakad is the nearer clinic.
- If you can, have someone take you home. You will be holding gauze and will not want to talk much.
Before you come
- Eat a light meal before you come; for the first days afterwards you will want soft food.
- Stock soft food at home, such as curd, khichdi, soft idli and soup that is not too hot.
- Plan a quiet evening, and keep the next day light if you can.
- Do not smoke for at least a few days afterwards. Smoking makes a dry socket far more likely.

Because of the technique: the tooth, gum and bone are fully numbed, so you feel pressure and movement rather than pain. Soreness for a few days afterwards is normal and usually settles with ordinary painkillers.
Can I go back to work the next day?
Many people with a desk job do, after a straightforward removal. A difficult lower wisdom tooth can need a few days longer.
Are all four wisdom teeth removed at once?
Only the ones that need it. Whether to remove one at a time or two together is decided on the X-ray and what suits you.
What if the swelling gets worse on a Sunday, when Wakad is closed?
